Leatherman Tread Adjustment Links

$11.00
Quantity:

Product Description

The ChronoLinks Leatherman Tread Adjustment Links were designed to give Tread owners more adjust-ability for a more comfortable fit. The links are made from stainless steel and finished to perfectly match the links that come with the Leatherman Tread. If your Tread is just a little tight but adding a tool link is much too loose, we suggest using one pair of adjustment links. If your Tread is a little loose but removing a link makes it very tight, we suggest removing one tool link and using two pairs of adjustment links. Using 3 pairs of adjustment links would be equivalent to adding a tool like to your Tread.

Available in natural Stainless Steel finish and Black DLC Finish. Compatible with Tread and Tread LT.

The ChronoLinks Leatherman Tread Adjustment Links are sold in pairs. Original Leatherman links shown in photo for comparison.

  1. Why didn't Leatherman think of this? 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2018 May 14th

These adjustment links are an obvious and elegant solution to the Leatherman Tread's sizing problem. Why couldn't Leatherman have included a couple pairs of these in the box, especially for the price?

Well, at least ChronoLinks thought of it, and the price is reasonable - $18 with shipping, and my order arrived within a week.

I had removed two links from my Tread which made it a hair too tight, but adding one link back in made it far too loose. Replacing two of the stock connectors with these slightly longer adjustment links made the fit perfect, and the quality looks at least as good as that offered by Leatherman with strong stainless steel (I couldn't bend the links with my fingers), and the black finish is smooth and even.

  2. Almost perfect 4 Star Review

Another well-made product from Chronolinks/Ansix. I got the raw stainless version, they seem to be a slightly higher polish than my original Tread links, but that may just be from months of wear. Overall they look great, and match close enough.

My only complaint is that these adjustment links are almost too long. It would be nice if they provided shorter versions to get a more fine adjustment (like you'd get in a real watch band). This is definitely better adjustability than the original Tread offers, but I expect slightly higher precision in my daily timepiece.
